About Me

Darcy Satkowiak 1-2.jpg

I am a communications major with a marketing minor at Trine University. I plan to graduate in December, 2025 and begin a career in public journalism or communication. I have experience in photography, videography, content creation, journalism, and broadcasting.

While in school, I am a tutor at the Amy Salyer- Nichols Writing Center, where I assist students with their written work and projects. I am also a student intern for the Trine Broadcast Network, I cover the athletic events around campus for a listening audience. I also conduct live interviews and log video edits to use for creative content. Similarly, I am the founder and president of the Trine Pickleball club. In my role, I organize open play, tournaments, and manage the social media for the club. I have also been the Editor-in-Chief of Trine University's Humanities and Communication Team for two years. I collaborated with others to produce engaging content for the department's social media and website.

Outside of the classroom, I participated in the Disney College Program with a role in attractions at Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios in the spring of 2025. During my program, I learned how to improve my career professionally while networking with others within the Walt Disney Company. Similarly, I was the Game day Operations intern with Cap City Athletics semi-professional women's soccer team for three seasons. I assisted the staff with work in the PA booth, organizing post game meals, and designing engaging game day graphics for the club's social media.

I enjoy spending time with my family and watching sports with them. I also love to write, paint, and play soccer and pickleball.
